After reading other reviews of the Eldorado Motor Inn I was very disappointed that I was booked in there for an overnight stay. All I can say is that I was pleasantly surprised. The reception staff were attentive and friendly, the room was clean, tidy and nicely furnished. The free wifi was fast enough to watch "catch up TV" with out buffering. The bed was firm giving an excellent night's sleep. I did not make use of the restaurant so I cannot comment on that. All in all, based on this stay, I would have no quarms about staying at the Eldorado Motor Inn on my next visit to Tennant Creek.
This is by far the worst accommodation I've ever seen and stayed at. First of all the pool of course needed to be shocked, the whole place is dirty and filthy.The door to the bathroom is only hanging in one hanger, hence I got stuck in there and had to get my wife to open from the outside.The carpet has never been rinsed (so it seems), full of stains and falling apart. The bathroom simply needs to be rebuilt etc, paint is falling of, tile are dicusting etc etc etc... Do NOT stay here. Check the pictures, it speaks for itself. I looked for other accommodation but no luck. Had to eat it... But never again, I've stayed at $37 hotels that's seemed like paradise compared to this, if the right government authority came buy they'd probably shut it down instantly. Looked like the manager was well of and simply is just draining this place for own profit, but forget to have the tiniest bit of service... just wow... I'm stunned.This place thrive on single time users for sure, un the hotel industry the hardest part is to get customers back second time, obviously that's not the case here.Even the 3 star rating was painted over (see image) . Free breakfast cost $10. Wireless was slower than phone connection.
Really is only a 2 star. A few cockroaches in the bathroom. Toilet 'sealed for my protection' looked like someone had recently landed a dump in it without a proper flush or cleaning the skids. Receptionist really needs to work on her English. But... Bed was comfy and I've eaten well in their restaurant (but they seem to be only able to cook one meal at a time so prepare to eat before or after anyone you're sitting with)
